Residential Care

What is Residential Care?

Residential Care is generally for people who are unable to carry on living in their own home, even with support from various domicilary care services. A residential care home would normally provide a service consisting of accommodation, meals, staff support and personal care. It is also important to note that in an establishment like this, staff are available 24 hours a day.

Who is Residential Care for?

There are many reasons why a person may need the support of residential care such as significant physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental ill health, an alcohol or drug dependency or even someone who is at risk of injury or abuse.

Residential care allows people to continue to live in a safe and supportive environment with the help of understanding and dedicated professional staff.

The basics that any residential home should offer you are daily support, safe and comfortable environment, a range of interesting activities to partake in, privacy and dignity.
